FS4000

How to successfully reset Fire event in the FS4000 panel?

In order to reset the fire event in the FS 4000 need to follow the minimum number of actions :
– switch the Plastic key to Access Level 2;

– push the button for Reset fire.

How to change the operation mode of conventional line in the FS4000 panel?

In order to change the operation mode of the conventional line in panel FS 4000 need to use 2 pcs DIP-switches locate on right down site of the PCB:

OFF-OFF the line is duty mode
OFF-ON the line is in test mode
ON-OFF the line is disable
ON-ON the line is configure in direct mode (will activate outputs without time delay)

FS5100, FS5200

Which optional module must be used in order to expand existing configuration in 5200 fire panel:

The base FS 5200 panel include – 8 fire detection line/zone, 1 monitored output, 2 dry contact outputs for fire and one dry contact for Fault.
In order to expand the fire detection lines/zones need to use modules:
– from 8 to 16 ones is required module 5201
– from 16 to 24 ones is required module 5202
– from 24 to 32 ones is required module 5201

In order to expand the panel outputs need to use modules:
– 5203 module with 8 pcs dry contact
– 5204 module with 16 pcs dry contact
– In the panel FS5200 can operate only one of the output modules, I.e or 5203 (8 out) or 5204 (14 out).
– On module 5202 is available and second monitored output.

 Detector series 3000 and 8000

Is it possible to replace the conventional fire detector series 3000 with fire detector 8000 series?

The parameters of the conventional detector 3000 series and 8000 series are identical.
Supply voltage: (10-30)Vdc
Duty mode current: 55 μA
Fire condition current:
– with base type 8000 or 8000D: (8-25) mA
– with base type 8000R, 8000DR: (18-55) mA
In order to replace the fire detector series 3000 with fire detector series 8000 need to replace and the detector base.

General questions for conventional systems

Which UniPOS Fire alarm panels are compatible with the Graphical Monitoring Software UniPOS-Intellect?

The UniPOS-Intellect software solution is used for applications where graphical information and video surveillance of the fire and fault events are required.

The UniPOS-Intellect is applicable with:
conventional panels : FS 4000, FS 5100 and FS 5200
addressable panels series IFS 7002 (1 loop , 2 loop and 4 loop)

Is it possible from the dry-contacts (relays) of the UniPOS panels to switch/trigger 220 Vac?

The relay (dry contacts) outputs of UniPOS panels can trigger up to 125Vac.
If necessary to trigger 220Vac, need to use additional dry contact module like RM 1/2 or RU4/8 (refer products>>accessory)

Addressable

IFS7002

Additional power supply must be connected to the 7203 IO signal loop module when:

The FD 7203IO module output can operate In two different modes – like monitored potential output or like dry contact, potential free.

In case output of the FD7203IO module is used as a monitored output, need to connect addition power supply to the module. The monitored output is potential with current 1A/24V., the signal loop current is 200mA, this is the reason the IO module to be powered from additional power supply.

What is the scenario to start-up panel IFS7002?

The start-up steps of IFS 7002 panels are as follow:
check the loop cabling – use operation from the display of the panel named “Setup>>loops>loop1/2>check”;
after message “The Loop is OK” and correct discover of all device connect in the signal loop, need to address the loop (menu “Setup>>initialization>>clean initialization”);
after signal loop addressation need to create zone, to add device and to assign outputs (menu “setup>>zone”)

The signal loop devices of the 7002 addressable panel are addressed from:

The UniPOS addressable periphery is addressed with dedicated procedure from the display of the 7002 panel. The panel will address the periphery devices installed on its loop-cabling automatically, in sequence, i.e. a dedicated software addressing tool is not required to address the 7000 periphery.

– to address the signal loop have two options:
automatic addressing of the detectors from menu “Setup>Initialization>Clean initialization”, then all devices from the correct loop cabling will be installed in 5 minutes. In automatic addressation panel first address the devise which are in the loop (from first to the last devise) and give address 1 to the first, address 2 to the second …., then address the brunch (if have);
manual addressing from menu “Setup>Loops>loop1/2>Manual addressing” you can use to add device on the signal loop or to address cabling installation like star-cabling or tree cabling;

Is it possible to program fire in loop 3 and loop 4 of panel 7002-4 to trigger monitored outputs Out1 and Out2 of the 7002 panel ? How to program this functionality?

In order loop 3 and loop 4 of panel 7002-4 to trigger monitored outputs of Top PCB or outputs from loop 1 and loop 2 need to configure/setup server zones programming.

The basic idea is that need to make server zone (in the PCB, where the sounder is connected to) with output pattern. This server zone will receive signal from the zones in fire from the remote panels/PCBs and will activate it’s local sounders (output pattern). Then you need to setup the fire zones in the panels/PCBs to send signal to the server zone in the panel/PCBs where is located the sounder.

What must be the resistance on the CAN line (in the IFS7000 network) or RS485 (in conventional network)?

The CAN network cable must be CAN-line (linear cabling) – star or branch CAN network cabling is not allowed. The resistance of CAN line network (between terminal L and H) measured with multimeter (both panels must be powered OFF) must be 60 ohms, i.e the panels on both ends of the line must be terminated with 120 ohms resistor – with jumpers locate near to the CAN/RS485 terminals on the panels PCB.

What are the steps to reset CAN parameters of the bottom pcb in the 7002-4 loops panel?

To reset the CAN parameters of the bottom PCB need to follow the procedure:
1. power off the panel from the batteries and the mains;
2. press and hold the CAN reset button on the bottom pcb
3. power-up the panel, wait for 20 sec. and release the button.
With this procedure only the CAN parameters of the bottom pcb are default:
local: CAN addr.#63, Slave

One piece of rem.object:
1.CAN addr.1, priority level = Master, CAN port = CAN1;
– the TOP pcb CAN parameters must be :
local: CAN addr.#1, Master
One piece of rem.object:
1.CAN addr.63, priority level = Slave, CAN port = CAN1;

How to access the IFS7002-4 loop 3 and loop 4 to set-up?

The IFS7002-4 loops fire alarm panel is consist of two PCB in one panel box, connect with 2 lire cable true CAN communication protocol:
Upper – Main PCB with display, CAN address 1
Lower (blind), CAN Address 63

The display by default have access to the top pcb (loop1/loop2) – i.e. local pcbboard, while in order to access the bottom-PCB (loop3/loop4) – i.e. remote PCB board, it is necessary to go to menu “lists>select local/remote panel” and select the Rem#63 CAN address. As a result in the bottom tab the indication will change from “”LOC”” to “”REM#63″”and you will have the same menus and actions, but they will affect the loop 3 and loop 4.
